Baby Massage can start as soon as the bay is 2 weeks old with a healed umbilicus

Massaging your baby has many health benefits.  It's also fun and provides your baby with a sense of security and physical comfort.   Babies who are massaged regularly have been shown to have fewer upper respiratory infections.    For more benefits, see below.   Generations of parents all over the world have used massage to promote their babies growth and development.  Parents find that massaging their baby increases their joy in parenting.

"I was having a really difficult time transforming to motherhood and you, effortlessly, brought me light and hope. "

You'll learn songs, lullabies, and rhymes as to accompany the massage strokes.   Singing while you massage your baby helps you to be more rhythmic in your massage.   Many parents find that these songs help to soothe their babies at other times - such as while riding in the car.

"My son just loves massage. I’ve been singing the leg massage song to him when we’re in the car and it helps him to calm down."

Baby massage can be learned by anyone interested in having a loving relationship with babies or children.   Adoptive parents, foster parents, and grandparents as well as other caretakers often find that massage helps them to build a relationship with a baby.  Babies or children  with special needs also benefit from massage, and it helps their caretakers to communicate with them.
