The Enchanted Forest has rocks, a little
water pond, a cave for a ground squirrel, and a stump that's a home for a
bunny and a tiny owl. There are two mushrooms next to the stump and
three mushrooms next to the cave. A few bushes complete the scene. It would make a lovely gift for a child who likes forest animals. After I made the little animals, I held them in my hands for a while filling them with good wishes and a happy life. The scene can be used for a nature table or for a decoration.
The mat is approx 13" long by 11" wide. The stump is about 3 1/2"
high.
The owl is approx. 1" tall.
The bunny is 1.5" long and approx.
1-1.5" high.
The ground squirrel is approx. 2" long including the tail
and about 1" high.
Not suitable for children under 3 and recommended for children 5 and up.
The little animals are are a perfect size for cat toys, so please keep out of the reach of your pets.
It took me approximately 12 hours to create this Enchanted Forest using wet felting and needle felting techniques sitting outside on sunny September days and inside in the evenings. All natural materials - 100% wool roving.
