Josh Layne - harp
has three solo recordings and one joint recording with his brother, Robin. Listen to clips from the CDs
  • Your music made me feel great inside.
  • Concert of a lifetime!
  • As a classical pianist I've heard a lot of piano recitals, but I've never been so impressed by another instrument before!

Harping Through History was Josh's 2008 fall tour in the Pacific Northwest and Europe.  You can watch Josh introduce the program on YouTube

Robin Layne – marimba and percussion
– splits his time between leading Jarimba and performing with a wide range of ensembles from salsa and jazz, to traditional West and South African music in Vancouver, BC.   He toured China with the Lache Cercel Roma Swing Ensemble in October, 2007.

Start with a dose of West African traditional music, add some Cuban spice, and mix in a dash of jazz, reggae and hip-hop and you’ve got the unique sound of Jarimba. CBC recorded a live Jarimba concert.  Y0u can listen to it at CBC on demand, just click on Jarimba concert.
