What happens in a baby massage class?

1. The babies set the agenda. 

 2. You will learn specific massage strokes for various parts of your baby's body.  We start with the baby's legs then go to the stomach/abdomen area, the chest, the arms, the face, and the back.  You will also learn some simple stretches you can do with your baby.

3. Each class will start with a new area of the body and new stroke.  Then we will repeat what was covered in the previous class.

4.  Depending on the needs of your baby, you may be walking your baby around the room some of the time or feeding your baby.  That's just fine!

 

5.  I will give you information sheets to help you remember the strokes and the sequence of strokes as well as information about your baby's growth and  development.  There is plenty of time for discussion and questions.

6. Babies seem to love the songs and rhymes that I include in the massage of different parts of the body, so come prepared to have sing as well as learn a new skill.
